Martin is an External Verifier for City and Guilds. He has provided training and Qualifications for Martial Arts Coaches for the past 12 Years.
He is a 6th Dan in Karate, a 2nd Dan in Iaido, a 1st Dan in Jodo and an International Tai Chi Instructor. Martin also runs his own Martial Arts clubs in South London and Kent.

NVQ Internal Verifier / Training Provider: Steve Rowe


Steve is Chairman of Shi Kon Martial Arts International, one of Europe’s largest martial art associations and teaches Karate and Tai Chi across Europe. He owns and operates a full time dojo in Kent and holds a 7th Dan in karate, a 3rd Dan in Iaido, a 1st Dan in Jodo and is an international Tai Chi instructor.
Steve has held many positions in the governance of the martial arts over the years including Chairman, Secretary, Executive Committee Member and Director of the governing body for Karate in England, Secretary of the British Karate Federation and has sat on the Martial Arts Commission as the representative for Karate.

Jim is the Shi Kon Chief Instructor for Chinese Martial Arts with an impeccable lineage in Hung Gar Kung Fu and Yang Family Tai Chi.

NVQ Assessor / Training Provider: Roger Wilkes


Roger is founder of the Kyushin Ryu Ju Jitsu Association. Roger holds a 7th Dan in Ju Jitsu and founded his first Ju Jitsu school in 1973 after training and gaining Dan grades in Judo (1st Dan), Karate (Shotokan 2nd Dan) , Tomiki Aikido (1st Dan) and Atemi Jutsu (4th Dan). He then spent many years training with some of the finest Ju Jitsu masters in both hemispheres including Robert Clark, Inoue Tsuyoshi Munetoshi, Fumon Tanaka and Jan de Jong, building Kyushin Ryu from that single club into the organisation it is today.
He has also written for several martial arts magazines over the years as well as organising some of the larger Ju Jitsu events held in the UK. He has co-founded, with a colleague from Belgium, a large international Ju Jitsu body of friends who annually meet to train in each others countries. This international organisation now covers Europe (West & East), the USA and Australasia as well as the UK & Eire.

Ann is the Director for the Childrens Programme in Shi Kon Martial Arts and is a 4th Dan in Karate.
